Commuting by train

Hey guys,

I have been wondering, how is it traveling by train? Have any of you done it? If I do choose Rutgers to go to school (and get accepted), I might be commuting via train.

I'm a business major at my local cc, and I believe the campus for business majors is called Livingston. I looked on their site about their bus system, it showed no route from train station to Livingston.

can someone help me out?

Two options:

1) You can either get to New Brunswick by train, and take a Rutgers bus from College Ave to Livingston via LX.

2) You can get off at Edison train station and ride a bicycle (or walk) to Livingston. There might be a NJ Transit bus that goes near Livingston, but not so sure.

you are going to have to walk to scott hall stop also known as grease trucks stop from the train station(2-3 walk). Then catch the Rutgers Lx bus to go to livingston but you are going to have classes all over the campuses more towards livingston and college ave.

If you are going to commute via train, you might as well get a student train pass which will save you hundreds of dollars. To get it go to here [Department of Transportation Services | Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey](<a href=“Parking & Transportation Services | Institutional Planning and Operations”>Parking & Transportation Services | Institutional Planning and Operations)

I think I understand their Rutgers bus system now… As I look at College Ave to Livingston via LX (<a href=“Parking & Transportation Services | Institutional Planning and Operations”>Parking & Transportation Services | Institutional Planning and Operations), I noticed that you don’t get picked up at the train station. However, the surrounding is called campus road, which you can get picked up? Only at night they drop you to the train station, right?

Getting dropped off at Edison train station would require a bike. The walk would be too long, unless it was summertime lol.

@shipponz: Thanks, it makes sense now. Thanks sixflags.
