Commuting from home

<p>hey guys. i need an insider's opinion on this.</p>

<p>i live literally 45 minutes away from nyc and if i get into nyu (or other colleges in nyc) i might commute from home. yeah, sure, it saves money on room and board, but i can't help but wonder about the possible negative aspects of commuting. can you guys tell me about your experiences on commuting from home, the positives and the negatives?</p>
