Comng Soon!

Apparently, much to the chagrin of some. ;)

LOL Cougar - "a wet kleenix"! haha! I bet there are a few of those around! Well, not so many since I-day & PPW are so long past.
But that was funny anyway!

Hey, where's Jamzmom been lately. She seems to be stuck on 1929 posts. Probably off somewhere drinking Merlot and eating chocolate.

I think she's still fuming over the photos she recently received in the mail. At least she knows for sure the Jamz isn't batting for the wrong team ;) hehe j/k

Thanks, I found her. I was looking the wrong place. Sounds like the jamz might have had his hands full.

Hands full?

So to speak.....

Just the Asian version of southern sorority gilrs on spring break is my guess.

oh my, oh my....

Jamzmom, not to worry- you just keep doing your thing, and hit the "ignore" button whenever you need!

kp- lets play nice now! no chasing the older folks out of here! ;)

cougar and Z...you are both just too funny!

I always did hate sharing the sandbox. Oh well, have to learn sometime I guess.

Thats because the older folks knew how to throw sand in your eyes. Navy 2010, no worries. I can always find him if need be.

LFWBDad, you are most correct except there are more of them & they might be a tad smarter.

DRUM ROLL PLEASE!

Ahem... Now where is my chocolate & merlot gift package? I smell chocolate out there. Ya'll give it up. I'll be waiting.

2,000 and counting! She's the best...all you moms and kids out there listen to this southern belle...she knows the skinny on the academies! Congrats and chocolate is on the way!

Congrats JM!!! 2000!! Impressive indeed! Afraid I've fallen way behind...not enough hours in the day! Where have you two been hiding anyway? Off playing by yourselves again I see!

JM- did Jamz get back from his world cruise yet?
Boss- hope crew is going well this year...this is my first time in 9 years that I will be missing those fall races....so sad! Enjoy them while you can!!!

I haven't been on as much lately...the board is getting dominated by political issues which probably don't belong here.

Anyway, the CGA is doing very well, dominated the Head of the Housatonic and did very well at the Head of the Charles in Boston. That is a great event and one I'd recommend to anyone whether they are into rowing or not. Very festive atmosphere.

Yea, right Boss. My knowledge of the academies could fit inside my hand. But, 90% of what I do know has been learned here from the great people who post.

Navy2010, not back yet. Will be back at the Kings Point on Nov. 4th if all goes as planned. Then home on Thanksgiving! This first part of Sea Year has been an amazing experience. He'll go back out in March for 8 months. Its official. He's "Salty". You'd better shape up lady & atleast make it to one race! :)

Tell me about it! I miss them...standing in the freezing rain on some slippery slope with the wind and tide in my face! But I do miss the Head of the Charles..that was always my favorite.... and the Head of the Connecticut (many a medal won there!!!)....

for now the oars have been hung up, but you never know! SHe has a shell of her own, and it is just a matter of time she will get herself back out there... so I consider this a temporary reprieve....

only to be substituted with lots and lots of trips to USNA for the football games....and fall lacrosse games....and we still have the entire spring lax schedule to look forward to! I am racking up miles faster than CC posts!!!

Unfortunately the only salt our thorpedo has tasted is his short bout with sailing and a few tears here and there....thank goodness not too much of the latter.... more good days than bad, so I remain hopeful! Right now passing chem and calc and history are all I pray for!

Enjoy your thanksgiving holidays with Jamz! We just booked the thorpedo's flight home- can't wait - have a "big surprise" waiting for him.... our very own "while you were out" episode! LOL!!! He will be SHOCKED!!! (pleasantly i hope! )

JM,

200 posts...and I remember your first one. I thought, "who the h*** is this? I'm pretty sure this very, very enthusiastic mom won't be here very long. She'll need a nap after every post." (That's why I don't give investment advice.)

I, also, don't have much time here anymore and I'm a bit tired of the political discussions. But I'd like to thank you for all the chuckles and insights you have given me.

Virtual Cheers with my virtual glass of merlot!

LOL MOT! I'm not enthusiastic. I'm just hyped up on sugar all the time. I remember the Jamz would say, "No, don't ask that stupid question" or "No, don't use smilies". I finally got him posting here. :D And I look back remembering that I'd hung on your every post so that I could learn about West Point. Fascinating stuff! Following your dd through the first years has been too much fun. Watching everyone's kids going through this journey has been amazing.

Navy2010, I love your "while you out" project. Did the same thing last year. The biggest thing I did was to take down the "I love me" wall. All those high school awards went into a scrapbook. I did leave the things he loves with KP, nautical & Coast Guard so he didn't feel too much the stranger when he came home. I found the most interesting things under that bed when I'd moved it. Graduation cap & gown, nerf gun balls where his friends used to come in & pelt him when he was trying to sleep, a very interesting note from an old girlfriend & a half bag of cheetos..... LOL It was a fun project & I didn't cry even once. :)

LOL!!! See you found lots of hidden goodies under that bed!

We found surprises of our own.... like when the wallpaper came down along with a basket-ball sized area of plaster from where he practiced hitting the same spot on the wall with his lax gear....and judging by the relative accuracy of hitting his target, no excuses for not getting some good goals out on the field this year! He got wind that something was up with his room from my daughter...think she slipped...he made her promise that she would supervise and make sure there was "no navy stuff" plastered all over the place! Me thinks he needs a break from blue and gold!!! Hard to put all those trophies away though...not quite sure what to do with them all- hard to jam them into a scrapbook!

Hope the wind dies down a bit before Nov 4th so that jamz has a smooth ride through the sound- the water has been rough and no place to be the last few weeks! And we still have to row out there and get our boat out before the docks come out on the 14th! Reminds me, I better start nagging my better half to get moving on that! ;)

Ever see the movie "Groundhog Day"? I thought I did this once. LOL
OK OK! Here's #2000 and lets hope its sticks this time. Do I still get chocolate?
