<p>hey guys...i currently have an AS degree in criminal justice and I am really interested in working in computer network and security industory. Thus i dont know which major to pick for my BS degree and which university to attend? I live in east bay ca. I am looking forward to attend a college in california. So far i found two schools which has a program that covers the network and info. tech. CSU East bay bs in computer science concentration in networks and data communication and csu monterey bay computer science and info tech and concentration in netwroks and security? Pleae let me know which of these schools is better to go for info. tech and security education. If you guys know any better schools in california for info tech (focus on networks) please let me know.

<p>You should also look at faculty profiles at the UC’s because some Comp Sci faculty specialize in security. For instance, at UCSD, built a tool for investigating how botnets work and now is looking at how to kill botnets by cutting their profits.</p>
<p>thanks for your suggestion… i finally got in touch with my college counselor…,my college has a tag agreement with 7 uc schools which are UC Davis, UC Irvine ,UC Merced, UC Riverside , UC San Diego , UC Santa Barbara, UC Santa Cruz…which of these would be a best pick for cs focusing on networks</p>
