What kind of companies would I most likely work for after completing MBA + ME?
how about after completing MBA + EE? Or is there not much difference.
I am a rising freshman who is about to decide between EE and ME.
Thanks for your time!

Name a company that hires people. There’s your answer. The MBA opens up doors beyond EE and ME.

How is the job market for engineers with MBA?

Right now? Probably bad. I haven’t looked into it specifically but I cannot imagine very many fields doing a lot of hiring at the moment.

Everything is down now. How about under more normal economic circumstances?

Generally the engineering degree + MBA combo is very powerful. It definitely has the possibility to land you some high paying jobs. One of the nice things about the MBA, IMO, is that it is generic - you can work in many different industries.

True about the versatility thing. My son is going into some significant debt to complete a dual degree program for MBA/MSEngr over two years. I sure hope it’s worth it.

Thanks for your reply! So does that mean I could major in ME in college and still do management for an electrical engineering company after getting MBA?

As long as you know how an electrical engineering company operates (you will probably need technical knowledge in electrical engineering).
