compare these two laptops

Amazon.com: Toshiba Satellite L645D-S4036 LED TruBrite 14-Inch Laptop (Black): Computer & Accessories

and

thinkpad edge 14
core i3 m370
2GB
ATI raedon 4800 hd

With discount, I got the edge for 680. The toshiba is about 150 cheaper, and it's very much on par (stat wise) with the edge.
I asked the same thing on notebookreview, and someone said thinkpad hands down, because of the "time tested performance and built quality" I'm not sure what that means. Can someone elaborate?

I'm not looking to buy another laptop, I'm just wondering which one is the better deal.

I swear by my Thinkpad. These things are solidly built machines that can take a lot of abuse (I dumped an entire cup of water on this sucker not long ago, still going fine). Remember, Lenovo manufactures what used to be IBM computers, and they definitely have the experience.
