Why should a student choose WashU over Emory, Vandy, UMich and Northwestern? Or why not? I've got to figure out which to use ED for... Please comment on social life most.

This is on the boards of all 5 schools

Thank you

umm... Emory and UMich and NWestern don't have as much of a social community "oomph" as WashU does. i know its sounds weird but everyone at WashU feels like he/she belongs to WashU, not just a little part or some certain group. Vandy certainly has more parties if thats what you mean.

is washu very clique? compared to the others? Thanks a lot

Because of the students who choose to go therenicest students, and very accepting of others too. Some of these students chose Wash U even though they got into the higher ranked schools such as Northwestern, Harvard, and Stanford (hard to believe, but true).....

actually northwestern is ranked 11th along with WashU in USA today's 50 top colelges. just wanted to point that out.

Your correct, both schools were dead even according to US News Best Colleges. I wonder what the ranking will be this year?

i hope WashU comes out ahead. if not, mebbe going to WashU instead of Northwestern was a mistake. bah, i'd like to not think about that. Its about the quality of the education not the name that gets you somewhere in life. :)

But remember, these college rankings are very strange. You can never understand how they compare each college to its counterpart
