<p>if a highschool is proven to have better scores, how could it not send more kids to top schools? at 300, they send 1-2, but at 850, 20? are the parents of the students in this school super uber rich?</p>
<p>Yeah, we're at around 700 .. 2-4 to hypsm out of 200-250 a year.</p>
<p>Nobody got into HYP at my school this year. Ergo, I have completely better stats. </p>

<p>Out of of a class of about 400 we send ~25 to HYPSM...and we're ranked above the top 500... goes to show how much rankings really mean.</p>
<p>We sent one kid to MIT, and that was a rarity. Very few people including the val leave the state unless they are going to neighboring states. For HYP, we send one maybe every 5 years.</p>
<p>My school sends ~40 kiddies to Ivies + Stanford + Caltech + MIT
Harvard and Yale max 8 kiddies. lol I really don't measure up to any of these overachievers :(</p>

<p>um my school is like 850 if you do it by newsweek/us news rankings. which i think are BS. because my school is really awesome and if you do it by AP scores and SAT averages, we're like #1 in the state. so yeah =) and yes, we do have like 20 ppl go to hyp. and about 20%-40% of the school goes to a top 20 school on US news (not including lacs because i don't know where you find lac rankings). we're kinda rich that doesn't really help us; we're just really competitive. and the reason why we aren't ranked so high is because rankings go by how many people take AP tests and NOT how well they do. not too many people take AP tests in our school but when they do they get a 5.</p>
<p>and we suck at sports, lol, nobody has been an atheletic recruit at HYP since...ever</p>
<p>in other words, our top half are reallyyyyyy smart and our bottom half are dumb as rocks? (:</p>
