Alright this is complex to simply state but here goes: Does earning a C go so far as to only affect your GPA negatively or does it do more damage than just the GPA. For example I got a C (honors class if it makes a difference) my freshman year, however I have rebounded my GPA to a 3.75-3.8, which is not bad. Basically, does a C do more harm than just hurting your GPA?

For what it’s worth, a C can do more or less damage depending on where it is in your record. A grade plummeting senior year, for example, will look much worse than pulling up a lower freshman GPA.

Furthermore, this all depends on where you’re applying.
