Hey all! So I’ve been looking at the CMU Summer Drama Design/Production program and also the Cherubs one at Northwestern. I know that Cherubs is very prestigious, but it seems to lean more towards actors and less in their production departments, as an example, they have 2 required classes in acting for any drama students. Additionally, they’re focused on making a production, so it seems to be more of an opportunity to work, not one to learn. CMU’s program on the other hand, claims to be “all about the process” and seems to focus on developing the skills of their participants in their respective fields to help them in the future.
My question is, if I am looking to improve my abilities in production, and attend a program that will help with college admissions, which one should I attend? Is there anyone here that has attended one of them that can give me an insight? I feel that I might have assessed Cherubs wrong, but I can’t find any testimonials from people that are not on either respective website.
Thank you!
