Comparing Old/New SAT Scores

Hello

On the old SAT, I got a 700 math, 750 verbal … on the new one, I got 760 math, 680 critical reading, and 720 writing - but I’m curious - can I sub in my old 750 verbal for the 680 in critical reading? I know that colleges used to allow students to choose the best halves of their SAT score (i.e. to make their best “cumulative”), and collegeboard.com says that the verbal and critical reading scores are ‘comparable.’ So I’m wondering if, when I apply, I’ll be able to list 2230 (750cr+760m+720w) as opposed to 2160(680cr+760m+720w) on my applications.

Thanks in advance -

Jim
