Comparing Old SAT Verbal to New SAT Reading

After exhausting all of the 8 tests in the new collegeboard blue book, I have turned to the 10 Old SAT's for practice.

Most of the questions I miss are vocab, so I was wondering if I should actually score higher on the New SAT Reading.

These are the scores of the 3 practice tests I have taken by category. Should I score higher on the New SAT or will it be abt the same?

Practice Test #1:
-Sentence Completions: 16/19
-Analogies: 15/19
-Reading: 40/40
-Total: 71/78 (710)
-Curve: Raw 76 = 800

Practice Test #2:
-Sentence Completions: 18/19
-Analogies: 14/19
-Reading: 37/40
-Total: 69/78 (720)
-Curve: Raw 73 = 800

Practice Test #3:
-Sentence Completions: 14/19
-Analogies: 14/19
-Reading: 39/40
-Total: 67/78 (690)
-Curve: Raw 73 = 800

Is it reasonable to take my SC score & then take my percentage correct on reading & plug it in to the scale like this:

Practice Test #1
-SC: 16/19
-Reading: 48/48
-Total: 64/67 (95.5%)
-Adjusted Raw: 74 - 1 = 73 (750)

Practice Test #2:
-SC: 18/19
-Reading: 44/48
-Total: 62/67 (92.5%)
-Adjusted Raw: 72 - 1 = 71 (770)

Practice Test #3:
-SC: 14/19
-Reading: 47/48
-Total: 61/67 (91.0%)
-Adjusted Raw: 71 - 2 = 69 (740)

Okay after all that...

should I be hoping for a score around 700 or a score around 750?

looks like you're excellent at passages. since there are no analogies, I think you can hope for 750 (or above if you can get some more sentence completions)

anyone else?
