Comparing SAT and ACT

I took the SAT in October 2012:

800 Math
800 Writing
720 CR
(2320 composite)

And took the ACT this April:

35 English
36 Math
34 Reading
36 Science
(35 composite)

Each is from a single sitting and I'm not planning on retaking either of them. Which set of scores would be better to send, if I were to choose one? I'm assuming my ACT scores are more impressive, but I'd like other opinions.

First of all, do you have writing with ACT? That may a determining factor. If yes, ACT is better as your CR+M is only 1520. ACT 35 is like SAT 1560 (1540-1590) for CR+M.

Second, did you, or will you, take SAT2 subject test? If not, you should send ACT. Most school would ask for either ACT with writing or SAT1+2SAT2.

Anyway, there is nothing wrong by sending both scores in although it would be very expensive if you apply to many schools.

Writing on both was 10/12. On the ACT combined English/Writing was 33.

I’m considering the subject tests in June, though I’m not sure of my decision yet. Thanks.
