Comparing the SAT essay to your college essay

I received an 11, 10, and 9 (in that order) on my essays on the SAT Writing Portion of the exam. When colleges compare these essays to the ones that I write for their application, will they view this in a negative light? I guess I just did better on the first one because the prompt was one that I was really comfortable writing about. Will this hurt my chances? I'm retaking the SAT's again this week so we'll see if my essay scores improve?

Is it bad if you take the SAT's 4 times? I heard that many universities don't even see the number of times you take it but just the highest scores from each section. Is this true? Also, how do colleges evaluate your SAT scores if the first time you took it, it was high, then second time, it went down, then third time it went back up? Thanks in advance.

I heard the writing section doesn't count much....

4 times isn't seen too badly, I don't think...not unless you dropped dramatically in math or critical reading.

I took the SAT 4 times and I've been accepted to every school I applied to so far.

what schools did u apply to robot?

I took the SATs, too...two of the old, two of the new. The second time, I went down 130 points from the first (I have absolutely no idea why...I felt confident taking it). However, my scores went up higher than the first attempt on the 2nd two.

And I don't believe most schools consider your writting scores, since the new test is so new...they aren't able to set their standards of what sorts of scores they like to see. At least, this is what I've heard from several schools.

O and I was accepted ED to Emory.
