As someone seriously considering Trinity towards the end of the college selection process, I would appreciate any more-experienced and knowledgeable people giving input on how Trinity compares to other top colleges. Topics of comparison may include (but are not limited to) academic rigor, social environment, campus activities, prestige, grad school placement, community involvement, and quality of teachers. Also, if it is possible, to reach a conclusion on which college you would ultimately recommend...

Although this thread can include several different comparisons I would like to start by asking how Trinity compares to: Colgate, Colby, Sewanee, Tufts, Denison, Carnegie Mellon, Bates, Oberlin and Macalester. (could pick and choose from the list)

i know i’m new to this site but pretty sure a reply would be justified by now ; ) help pleasee?

^ No one is responding, because no Trinity student has first-hand knowledge of the colleges on your list. Plus, there is something rather off-putting and lazy about your question (no offense, but this is how it strikes me).

You should answer the question yourself by visiting the websites of each of the schools, by reading reviews on PrincetonReview, and so on. If you do the research yourself, you will develop enough understanding of each school to make an informed decision.

Start from a different perspective. Instead of asking, “How do these schools compare?” make a list of the things you would most like to have in your ideal college or university. Then research each school to see how it matches up. Keep an open mind. You may learn that some schools offer some wonderful features that had not even appeared on your original list.

Thank you!! for the refreshing response and honesty. I can assure you I have spent hoursss (pretty much unlimited amount) researching the schools through several different collegewebsites, that will remain nameless, and it is largely thanks to the research that i have felt compelled to ask how fellow prospective students and current students feel about Trinity and how it compares to other schools, I repeat that it does not just have to be the schools listed above e.g I forgot Haverford where also been admitted, as I feel that at this point the perspective of other students would be help the most.

I am interesting in majoring in political science/ international relations. I have a very outspoken passion for debate, government, but also athletics (which gives Trinity a HUGE plus, repeat NATIONAL SQUASH CHAMPS).Also like to be very involved in the communityy so the Hartford-Trinity rleationship has me in disarray.
So in order to narrow it down:
