Does anyone know rankings of undergraduate chemistry programs? any chem majors out there? I can only find graduate. Or does anyone just know the colleges well-known for chemistry?
I want to compare Univeristy of Texas-Austin (Honors), UC Berkeley, MIT, and Rice.
I know Berkeley and MIT are great for graduate chemistry. Does that imply good undergrad? I don't know how to judge the other two. I don't know very much about the programs.

USNWR does not publish a undergraduate Chemistry ranking. In fact, I don't think any book does; The Gourman Report publishes a list of good programs.

Noobcake is correct. However, you will find that chemistry in all of these schools is excellent. Rice has much more of an undergrad focus than the others.

Thanks for the advice. How reliable is the Gourman report? do a lot of ppl use it?

The Gourman report is pretty reliable. My gut feeling is that the rankings are accurate plus or minus 5 positions approximately. A lot of posters on CC agree with these rankings in an approximate way. The schools on their lists are also on the Gourman list.

ok thanks!
