I am international student at UT and I havent taken any American/Texas History before in high school, so I want to take manageable History courses that can complete my core curriculum requirements and not kill my GPA (I am planning on going to Med school and I need to maintain my current 4.0).

I've heard ACC History courses are easier and the credits are transferrable and I am planning on taking History at ACC in the summer semester so I can manage my courses at UT better in the fall semester.

I suck at essays (especially any type of History) too, so less essays is another consideration.

I want to hear your opinions/recommendations on which is more manageable or easier A's. UT or ACC?

I would also be interested in anyone’s experience with Physics (for engineers) at ACC. My son is thinking about taking the class and lab this summer.

I have never taken a class at UT (hopefully in the fall) but I do go to ACC.

I have taken one history course at ACC and it was extremely easy. The class consisted of about 5 or 6 multiple choice tests. You had the option of what grade you wanted to make for the class. For example if you wanted to make a B, you had to do 4 very small essays on some history articles in addition to the tests and if you wanted to make a A, you would have to do about a 3 page essay in addition to the B requirements.

The professor I had gave us the opportunity to skip the “B” essays if we averaged an A for all the multiple choice tests. So in my case I was able to make an A with just the tests and 1 three page essay. I think that the professor I had was really great too so I really can’t speak for all History classes at ACC.

MaineLonghorn, which Physics? I or II? I’ve heard nothing but good things about Underwood and he appears to be teaching both sections during summer.
