comparison physics 1 or physics 2 series

Hi guys, so I am trying to plan out my 4 years here at UCSD and I am stuck deciding whether to take the physics 1 or physics 2 series. Here is what I know so far based on research:

physics 1:
-algebra brased
-less content learned than physics 2
-presumably easier and intended for biology majors
-each class, 1a, 1b, 1c is required with a lab

physics2:
-calculus based
-has physics 1 content and more
-does not force you to take a lab
-presumably a lot harder, intended for chem/physics and engineering majors

If it means anything, I have taken AP Physics B (algebra-based) and received a 3. I need to take physics as a Revelle requirement and a year for medical school. I'm an Economics/Math major so I am taking the 20 series and cannot decide which physics series to take.

Do you guys have any further opinions about this?

If anyone has taken these courses can you guys give me some insight about it? Is the workload of physics 1 series with lab (5units) equivalent to the level of difficulty of a physics 2 course? How are the curves?

Physics 2 seems really intimidating and I am not sure if I want to take it, but at the same time I do want to learn something. I will appreciate any comments on this! Thanks!
