CFPB Rolls Out Tool To Help Students Comparison Shop For Financial Aid - The Consumerist

I just ran it. No better than looking at the FA averages that other sources give. They don’t ask for any financial info, they just compare average cost of schools you pick.

I compared 3 colleges: Y, Brown & UMichigan because I’m familiar with FA from all of them.

They give average grants, scholarships, & borrowing and debt info. They give IS tuition for UM, they don’t say if the other data is for IS or mixed IS & OOS. The difference they showed between Y & B is much closer than my experience.
