Of Harvard, MIT, Duke, Stanford, Berkeley, and Georgia Tech, what would be the actual differences in an undergraduate biological engineering program?

I'm especially interested in programs like MIT's UROP. Do other schools offer similar opportunities?

I'm also wondering how life compares in each one. Boston seems to the best location of those above (Stanford being far from San Francisco), but MIT especially is known for constant studying, and Harvard's not especially well known for engineering. I am certainly willing to work hard, but I don't want to spend every waking moment studying or be surrounded only by people who do.

I have some interest in other engineering disciplines, as well as pure biology and CS. Only a few humanities/business/law type things really interest me, and none enough to pursue.

Any other suggestions for schools? Of course, many of the above are very difficult to get in to.
