Compete Friends

Am i the only one that competes with my best friend, GPA and Test and Class wise. I say Ha! i got an A, the quarrel Begins.
We got into a fist Fight arguing who has a better application overall... Just jk, that would be hilarious though.

all my friends r suck slackers its not even funny...
we never talk about our grades
one of my closest friend has a approximately 2.7 GPA while i have like a 4.7GPA
so we dont talk grades

Nah, it's not a competition.

poloruler23 hahahaha, You guys are good friends, but when it comes to grades, you guys hate each other, hahaha

I used to be in a relationship like this but then her grades and ambition took a nosedive... which was weird... but it happened after we had sort of spit up

now i am great friends with people MIT and Yale (their top choices) would be fools to send away and also with those who might have trouble getting in to some Cal States.

I guess I'm just over competing with my friends; I'll either really hurt one's feelings or get my ego smashed.

Oh of course not. My boyfriend's salutatorian, I'm valedictorian; he got four 5s, a 4, and a 3 on APs this year, I got six 5's; he won state at UIL, I did so badly that I lost our team first place; I scored higher on the AMC the first time, he got me the second time; and on and on and on to the point where we can't stand each other half the time haha. But yeah, everyone does it because high-achieving kids tend to flock together, and as long as you don't let it impede your friendship it shouldn't cause a problem.

My friends and I always compete for grades. This year in AP Euro (the only AP they allowed sophs to take) I'd always win arguements just because I was ranked 1 in the class.

Wow, silentsailor talk about the ELITE couple, lol...

My friends prefer to smoke weed, do drugs and alcohol and insult teachers. But then they are my friends.

There is no reason to get competitive about academics.

Worry about YOURSELF. Do not worry about how everyone else is doing compared to you.

Wow, silentsailor talk about the ELITE couple, lol... -xsam42x-

i agree...

yes, i gues me and my friends do.. its just sometime we do.. its all fun and games that and the fact, I KNOW they're WAY better than me at academics... its sad really...

Well get an A, and shove the paper at their face! lol.

My freaky-genius friends always compete with me. I think it is a confidence boost for them because they usually do better than me (but usually only by a few points). Like in History last year my friend would get a 95 on a paper and I would get a 94 and he would be all happy because he beat me.

LOL! 95>94? ''He would be all happy''
Woow..'' Ha! i got 1 point more than you!'' --- LOL

my friend got an F on a science final that I was the only one that got perfect on so we don't talk about grades...at all...which is why I know she got an F and she know that I got an A lol :P

my friends and i have more interesting things to talk about than grades : )

My friends and I discuss classes and things like that, but we generally stay away from definite questions about gpa, sats and rank. Not as a rule or anything, it's just a common courtesy.

Are you kidding me? Some of my closest friends are my biggest rivals, and it only brings us closer together. It gives us TONS of oopurtunities to study together and have many a good night. I personally thrive off competition. If you can give me competition--good competition--I'll love you THAT much more.

lmao, but competition over academics? You've got to be kidding me.

There's NO point to it.
