Are there any notable ones? To buffer up my college app? I've been looking around and can't seem to find any.

Thank you!

Thank you!

what type of competitions are you looking for?

In Soviet Russia, college applications ‘do’ you.

Try AMC/AIME. If you do well enough on those, you’ll qualify for USAMO, which is very prestigious. Probably doubles your chances of getting into MIT.

Well, I’m a rising senior, so I’m looking for ones that happen before December.
Mostly Academic related, anything academic related actually!

^My school has Academic competitions and hopefully we’ll be starting debate competitions. Check into something like that at your school. If your school has these kinds of competitions, It’s best to start preparing NOW.

Hopefully, I’m not stealing your thread, but if I were to score highly on the AMC (January) or AIME (March) this year, would it be possible to send it to colleges before they make a final decision?

@thealt

No, I’m wondering about that as well!

You DO realize that if you do competitions after apps are in, you can write a LOCI (Letter of Continued Interest) updating schools on your recent accomplishments and competitions, right?

Hahahahahhaha
