<p>I don't believe there are any statistics on this out there, but what percentage of applicants, do you think, are considered "competitive?" For example, if a school admits 30% of its applicants, you have to figure that part of the other 70% were applicants that knew they had no chance or their parents made them or something like that. And after that, there have to be applicants that are almost but not quite "competitive." What I'd like to know is, when it comes down to it, how many of the applicants are actually competing for admission? I'm sure it varies from school to school, but it certainly isn't a credit to the practicality of these admissions statistics. Any thoughts?</p>
<p>I would like to know the same thing. I've been through it once before, and some schools are flat out strange, like WashU. But I'm looking to transfer and that I believe, is a legitimate question.</p>
