Competitive for a top MBA program?

I graduated from UNC with a degree in Spanish Literature and a business minor. Now I am now working for a top-5 management consultancy firm.

I'm thinking ahead a year or two about business school and am wondering what I need to do to be competitive for admission to one of the best.

White female
Undergrad GPA: 3.99
GMAT: 720

Is the GMAT score too low?

How do the b-schools distinguish between all of the consultants/i-bankers who apply each year? What are the key admissions factors?

Thanks!

what exactly is a top five consulting firm? you mean to say you’re at a good one but not bain/bcg/mckinsey?

obviously a 720 is not “too low”

being a female will help quite a bit as well

You have a good shot for at least one of the elite level MBA schools (~ Top 15). Your stats is inline with all the top programs. Which school you get into is dependent upon your work experience at the MC? I’m not sure what top 5 is either. M/B/B are the top 3. The other “top” consultancies like Accenture, Booz, Deloitte, etc. aren’t MC, they are just sector based consulting.
