Hey guys. Thanks for readin'.
I'm currently a sophomore.
Freshmen grades werE BAAD. not that I'm stupid, i just didn't realize they mattered that much.=/

freshmen :2.4 average UW

sophomore: 3.65 average UW

junior year: SAY i got a 4.0 UW cause I have been getting consistent 4.0's after first quarter of sophomore year.

I hear UC's only count 10th/11th grade. so will they disregard 9th??

I'm guessing UC GPA [10th/11th] will be 3.82 =/

prediction only though.

EC's

-Varsity Basketball
-Junior Class President
-Founder/President of a non-profit charity organization
-Varsity Volleyball

-Basketball MVP (most valuable player)

I AM A CALIFORNIA RESIDENT
BUT i live in beijing, china? i moved there. Still a resident though..

SAT: Predicted 2000-2100+

can anyone chance me even with my predictions? thanks =]

Stanford: [i know. not a UC. but chance plz =)]
UCB:
UCLA:
UCSD:
UCSB:
UCI:

can people give me chances?

Stanford: Big Reach
UC Berkeley/UCLA: Reach
UCSD: Reach/Slight Reach
UCI/UCSB: Match

are you kidding ucchris?

if we take his assumptions:
3.82 UW
2000-2100
CA Resident
decent EC's..try to add more EC's during your junior year..it's probably your weakest point
i don't really know how the whole china/beijing thing works but here's my predictions

Stanford: big reach
UC Berkeley/UCLA: slight reach
UCSD: Match
UCI/UCSB: slight safety

protege:

UCB/UCLA: Slight Reach
UCSD: Match
UCI/UCSB: Safe Match

I agree with flopsy and jakem333

P.S.. I live in China. I moved here, but I am still legally a resident of California, my dad still pays taxes and everything there. I don't know how it works, But i asked him and he said yes i'm still a resident. Although i live in Beijing. I've been here for a WHILE. and I've been in China for a while studying here. Not sure how that'll factor in??

And in China, the EC's are hard to come by. Class President is a really big thing here, I'm not sure if the UC's will look at it that way. But with my EC load, it's actually a massive amount here. It's a lot of work.

Any more chances? Please. thanks =]

berkeley reach

sorry man you got shafted if goign to school in china really is hard, which I seriously doubt. although the homework is much more, the level of difficulty is extremely low.

sai2004: Do you attend a school in China? I attend THE most prestigious school in all of Asia. It's highly competitive, and the workload and difficulty is very hard.

i didnt see that his gpa was unweighed sorry. i was working off the presumption that his gpa was weighted, where as ucla and berkeley would have been a reach and ucsd would have been a slight reach. average capped weighted gpa for admits to ucla berkeley is approx 4.2 and ucsd average admit is approx 4.05. all three schools sat's are aorund 2000 average.
