Furman’s in South Carolina

Bob, are you sure about the GWU Presidential scholarships being full tuition? They give a few full rides to local DC students, but I haven’t seen full tuition for others.

I compiled this list mostly from an older thread, which had included GW:

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/financial-aid-scholarships/211927-institutional-merit-based-scholarships-full-tuition.html</a></p>

It’s quite possible the information is inaccurate.

To edit a (minor) detail about the Wells in Indiana, the nominations are for IS students only; OOS students can directly apply w/o a school nomination.

University of Houston
Name of Scholarship: Tier One Scholarship

There are minimum rank and test score requirements: [Eligibility Requirements - University of Houston](Eligibility Requirements - University of Houston)

The Honors College at UArk offers a competitive Honors Fellowship program. When combined with the automatic “New Arkansan” scholarship program, the total scholarship package covers more than full tuition.

New Arkansan (residents of Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee, Missouri, Kansas, and Oklahoma); awarded automatically based on GPA and test scores:
[New Arkansan Non-Resident Tuition Award Scholarship | Academic Scholarship Office | University of Arkansas](New Arkansan Non-Resident Tuition Award Scholarship | University of Arkansas)

Honors Fellowships (open to anyone):
[Fellowships and Scholarships | Honors College | University of Arkansas](http://honorscollege.uark.edu/93.php)

I realize that this program is not completely open to students from any state, but I still thought it was worth mentioning.

University of Miami has both full tuition (Singer) and full ride (Stamps) merit scholarships. The Stamps offers a stipend and many other benefits in addition to the full ride. I am not sure if there are cutoffs, but both are very competitive. High test scores, GPA, and class rank are considered, but there is an on campus scholarship interview weekend that has importance also.

The McDermott Scholars program offers a genuine full ride and numerous opportunities for 24 incoming students per year.

Rutgers Presidential, $24,000/yr of which $11,500 is allocated to rm/bd.
4.0 unweighted and either 2250 or 35

Full ride for in-state. For OOS it is enough to cover tuition (but not fees.) However since some of the money is designated for rm/bd, not sure if you want to include it.

This is a nice list. Thanks!

Washington and Lee has the Johnson scholarship
American University has the Frederick Douglass Scholars Program
Johns Hopkins also has the Baltimore Scholars Program (only for Baltimore city students and residents and provides a full ride)
Duke also provides LOTS more full ride scholarships that the Robertson. For example, there’s the Reginaldo Howard Scholarship. Check the website.

[Latest update - thanks for the contributions. However, I do not intend to research scholarships that do not at least have a link provided.]

I am going to a competitive interview next week for a full tuition scholarship. The interview is set up as a panel interview and there are three rounds. I was told that some of the questions were as follows: Who is the most influential leader (or stated something like that), What is the greatest piece of literature you have read? That is all I have.
I wanted to know if anyone had some pointers on what other possible questions could be asked. I have Googled this and have found nothing. Does anyone know of some links? Please help me if you can! I want to be prepared and nail the interview.

Thank you.
