If you have a question that is specific to you, please start your own thread. This thread is for cataloging large merit scholarships.

My daughter just won a full ride, competitive scholarship to University of Louisville called the Brown Fellows. Ten awards are made to U of L students and ten awards to Centre College students : [Brown Fellows > Home](http://www.brownfellows.org/)

It was non-need based and available to her as an OOS student, as well. We are very thankful right now Go Cards!

The following link gives information about all the Stamps Foundation partner schools: http://www.stampsfoundation.org/partners/

Thnx for the wealth of information guys but would some one like to specify the colleges with generous inclination to international students?

pnkguy…you need to start your own thread. That said, Alabama is very generous to int’ls with high stats. Their merit is assured, not competitive. Based on stats (GPA and test scores.)

Washington University in St. Louis also awards a number of merit scholarships each year. Many of them are full tuition. Here is a link to a comprehensive list with application requirements:

Also, a few are not on the main list:
Danforth Scholars Program:
[Danforth Scholars Program](http://admissions.wustl.edu/scholarships/programs/Pages/Danforth.aspx)

@Koriander
Is one allowed to apply for more then 1 scholarship in the same school.
I can see many scholarships at WUSTL under the same program.

Are these consider as Merit Scholarships and they on top of the Need Based FA from the School. ? Will these counts towards EFC . ?

Please do not ask random questions about financial aid in this thread. This thread is for cataloging large competitive merit scholarships.

Some have unspecified amounts listed there, but have been reported by posters here to be full tuition or full ride (e.g. University of Chicago).

University of New Mexico non-resident scholarships are described here:

If major-specific scholarships are included, Berkeley has the Drake Scholarship for mechanical engineering majors:

Bob…is there room to include the approx number of awards given. that might provide some perspective in regards to chances.

For instance, the Alabama one above is usually only given to about 10 students.

Including the number awarded (if known or published) is a great idea. I will collect what I can find and include in the next update.

Nice compilation of scholarships.

Also, Furman University is in South Carolina, not NC, as listed.

MSU’s ADS awards are given to 15 students. Another 20 get full tuition and fees but no R&B.

Antioch College in Ohio is offering full tuition to ALL admitted students this year and next:

[Costs & Financial Aid | Antioch College](http://www.antiochcollege.org/admission/finaid)

The Horace Mann Fellowship: This scholarship is valued at up to four consecutive years of full-time tuition and will be awarded to all admitted students entering in the 2013 and 2014 academic years. It is offered to incoming students based on their academic achievements and community service. An interview is required as part of the selection process. This is a merit-based award.

Thanks for the information about Antioch College.

However, as noted in the first post of the thread: “College must be accredited, public or non-profit private, 4-year degree-granting institution”

Sorry about that - you are correct.

“Antioch College is not currently accredited but is undergoing a multi-year, multi-phase process seeking to gain accreditation.”

Had to read a lengthy article to understand its status and its independence from Antioch University. Still sounds like an interesting place & is featured in the “Colleges that Change Lives” book.
