What could be considered a “Competitive GPA” at top schools? I have a 3.84 with the most difficult schedule in the school, however that puts me in the top few in my class of 70 (only ~8 have above a 3.8 Cumulative.) My main concern is that I go to a private school which doesn’t rank–will top colleges realize that this would put me in the top 10%? Is that good enough anyways? I’m nervous now that i got my grades lol.

unweighted 3.6
weighted 4.3
theres a huge book my counselor busted out showing all the acceptance to top schools. She averaged them out and got the above GPA's for the average.

It really depends on your school. If you're at a small private not well known to top colleges, they'll be taking a hard look at your SATs and AP exams for context. If your school sends a fair number to top colleges, your counselor can best tell you and probably keeps a book.
