So the average GPA for Econ majors is 3.45 with a 81% acceptance rate. The average GPA for communication majors is 3.2-3.3 and the acceptance rate is 50%. I thought communications was viewed as the "easier" major but the average GPA is lower and the acceptance rate is lower too. Any good explanations for this?

Communications is a more popular major than economics (which, by the way, you post about way too much). The acceptance rate is lower because communications is a go-to major for anyone with a terrible GPA, and anyone with a 3.5+ GPA will most likely major in something that isn’t communications. Therefore, you get all the C students trying to get into communications and a lot of them get denied.
