1. The UW website posted that my app is being reviewed as of 1/19. How long should it take to get a decision?
2. I declared my major as psych although I'm only tentitively considering it. Is this going to affect my chances since Madison has a good psych program? Should/Can I change it?</p>

<p>yup, I actually called them up and they told me it has 0 effect on admissions, which I found surprising since they are reknowned for certain programs like Chemistry.</p>

<p>Many depts. have requirements to get admitted to the major after a year or two of study. Computer Science, Journalism, Engineering, Business for example.</p>
