Competitive Scholarships/Honors College/Merit Weekend

Does anyone know if they are still calling about competitive scholarships? Someone from admin told me we would be notified by MLK weekend but I have heard they are quite behind. I did submit my app on the last day and am a “w” last name so I figured I would be one of the last to get a call if I did.

Also how long after acceptance did you receive notification if you were accepted into the honors college or not?

And if you receive a Merit Weekend invitation (hopefully mine should be in the mail within the next couple days) and you decide to attend, is it binding? I really would love to go since UK is one of my top choices but I am still waiting on two schools, one I should know soon the other in late March/early April.

I don’t know anything about the competitive scholarships. Sorry.

I received my honors acceptance within 12 days after applying, but I applied early admission back in November.

I do know that attending Merit Weekend is non-binding. You can even get the $125 tuition pre-payment refunded if you choose not to attend UK. You would only lose the $125 you paid for Merit Weekend. UK is currently my top choice, so I am super excited about going to Merit Weekend in March. :smile:
