Compilation Of Correct Answers (cr)

a challenger appears.... anyway

about the systematic v. methodical answer choice... i seriously doubt that both possible answers would appear in the same problem, since according to wiktionary, they are the same thing.

The butterfly question was about how caterpillars developed into butterflies.. it said there were like clear patterns seen and all that crap.. maybe it was an experimental?

ericcc: look up five posts..

it was experimental.

Are you sure it said by and not 'with'?

Crude animation _______ with the lights flashing from lanterns was finally recognized as the ______ to modern special effects.

i am pretty sure it said "by," because i remember substituting each word into the blank accompanied with "by."

i think the answer to one of the SC may have been methodology...idk it cud have been in my experimental section, but i do recall selecting systematic as well as methodology as answers for separate questions

What was the question from the rattlesnakes passage whose answer is bore?

the one about the flag,i think

You mean the one asking what's the best meaning for the word "carried" in line w/e? Wasn't the answer support?

carried, support? i don't remember those.

It said in the passage after talking about how many people loathed the rattlesnakes, some people viewed them differently. Then it talked about how some army from the Gadsden territory carried the rattlesnakes on their flags... And the question was "What is the best meaning of "carried" in that line?"

okay i remember now ........the answer, undoubtedly,is bore.

Why wouldn't it be support? What's the reasoning behind bore?

critcal reading is mostly intuition.i just felt it must be bore.i didn't reason at all. everyone agreed on bore.

bore means: 1) to make a hole by drilling with such an instrument
2) to weary by dullness, tedious repetition, unwelcome attentions

How could it possibly have been bore?

can't the flag answer also be "expressed" (to show, manifest) because the sailors expressed their interest in rattlesnakes on their flags. I don't know, it could be wrong, but I always thought that when you bear (present form of bore) something you are holding or supporting something physically

bore is the past tense of bear.

bear is :

To hold up; support.

no no no.
bore = the past tense of bear.sorry. :(

the flags supported the snake.. they bore the logo..

well then "support" and "bore" (to hold up, support) can't both be the options for the question, they mean the same thing... and i don't remember reading about sailors... I don't think we're talking about the same question...
