Perhaps, but I'm pretty sure that I remember support as an answer choice...
that might have been used to underline the specific connotation shift of bore, depending on usage.

Yo no s

AP Spanish experience recently? :p

I'm pretty darn sure it was bore.
Why would the flag support the snake?
It bore the snake as a symbol.

Lol. Oh, gosh no. I'm scared to death of AP Spanish!

But I seem to be taking a lot of APs anyways. :)

IB Spanish Standard Level ftw!

Well, you seemed to be quite fluent up there... LOL ;)
How many APs?

IBs = crazy.

This year 4 (Macro, Micro, USH, CSA <<[which I just took today and owned])

Then I'm not sure, 4/5 next year-ish.

Maybe a couple more senior year - you're right though, I'm going to get killed by IB HL tests senior year (taking the 4 required and then 2 more certificate to see if I can get some college cred)

Can someone clarify a few questions for me:

what was the question where preternatural....anticipate is the answer? what were the other choices?

In the advertising in nature passage- what was the question with publically denounce?

In the Lake Vostok passage- what were the other choices and question where " the sunlight shining on the ground" is the answer

4.- In Sublime passage- what's the question for "inspire weakness"

In May passage- what was the question and other choices for "imagination for different perceptions of the world?" Is that definitely the right answer?

^ id like to second his "sunlight shining on the ground" question.

i would like to third this "sunlight shining on the ground" question.

erm... fourth?

(I introduced the 'sunlight shining on the ground question' to the forums... and to be truthful, I don't remember it now...)

:o

Cricket chirp

what about inspire weakness--- is this a different question than inspire wonder (for the sublime pasage)

can we try to think of the other choices in teh sunlight question and what was the full answer chocie (sunlight shining on the ground sounds incomplete) what was the whole thing

I think inspire weakness and pardoxical behavior were the same question.
Because I rememeber putting that.

Wasn't it when he was talking about his experience in the Sinai desert away from home... and having a horrible time? I don't know, though. Narcissa told me that it was paradoxical behavior b/c he was talking about why we find pleasure in such things...
I thought it was to inspire weakness to support his overall sublime theme which said that humans are trivial and don't matter in the ultimate perspective of nature.

As for the sunlight question, (I THINK... I'm not sure) it was about the Lake... (the last question, I think) and it was one of the NOT/EXCEPT questions... it was like:
What does the last para NOT imply about the Lake or something...
One of the answers was about how the Lake could be used to reach the conclusion of extraterrestial life.
Or explain the weather on Jupiter or something?
Meh.

OHHHH!!!

I REMEMBER! Thanks ^

It was talking about connections to other planets,

and which didn't apply to that

which was

c) (or something) the absence of sunlight beneath the ice

and the other ones were like cold temperatures like Europa and stuff

^ YES, THAT ONE!!!

Exactly! :)

Thanks Feed! Since you seem to have a pretty good memory of the test i have a question about math ( I know this is the cr thread but humor me on this one). So do u remember the last question on the math section with 16 mc questions that was 20 min. IT was question 16 and im just blanking on the question and the answer.

Also for math what was the question with teh answer of 12.5. I know it had to do with .08 or something like that but that doesnt ring any bells. Can you describe the exact question in more detail, word for word.

Thanks!

Hm, no, I don't remember the 16th one... but if you remember like ANY question from that section, it might ring a bell.

Well, yes (not word for word), but I'll try.

A number x contains 8 as the hundredths digit. What is the greatest possible value of 1/x?

Since the least decimal will have the largest reciprocal, simply assume that x = 0.08 and then 1/0.08 = 12.5 (choice E).

[I think I might have inserted x in the question by myself... not sure... but it was something along those lines]

dallascowboys, the 12.5 one was: "What is the greatest value for 1/x in which the hundreths place of x is 8"

The last one on the 20 minute segment I BELIEVE was 1/9x^2 one...can't recall the actual qustion unfortunately

does any one remember a question about surface area in math

OH, it was the a question... as in what is y in terms of x...?

And there were like 2 equations given for y and x (both in terms of a).
Basically what you had to do was set both of those equations equal to a and then set them equal to each other.

Does that help? ^
