I remember in the passages there was a question that went "the author mentions alaska as a place that is"....undeveloped

didactic was an answer to one of the questions in the traveling/map/outdoors passage

yup: didactic, omnipotent, animate, individual expression, undeveloped, ironic, suspended, dry humor, two contrasting (something), etc.

Get A Life People!

first of all, the question asked how the author viewed educational comic books
i chose ill-conceived failure for the following reasons:
1. he stated that comic books are inherently junk, therefore, any attempt to try and make educational junk is inherently wrong, or "ill-conceived"
2. i thought failure was correct because it stated that they didn't succeed
3. it also said that they were 'half-hearted attempts', again pointing to ill-conceived

on the Official Dec SAT thread, a lot of people have argued both ways, the concensus seems to be foolish imitations, but i chose ill-conceived nonetheless.

I strongly believe it's "ill-conceived failure"

^^ same here

did u guys put 'severe' as an answer choice for the comic book passage?

nope, I put conversational for the tone of passage 2

See the other SAT Topic

yeah, you're wrong, it's def. severe.

it's severe.

You guys are mixing up the question. I would put "severe" if the question pertained to passage 1.

It was asking for passage 2.

Wait, I might be wrong.

Can I have at least three people telling me that the question was asking for passage 1?

If not, I think I've got 2 wrong so far

The question was asking for passage 1, but what were the other choices?

MAN, you're kidding me. It really did ask for passage #1's tone? X_X Wrong CR answer number uno, that I know of.

A couple of people in the other topic put conversational beause they thought it was referring to passage 2's tone.

I dont know though, need some more people.

I was positive though that it was asking for passage two. Or maybe they are different questions?

IIRC it wasn't asking for the tone of the whole passage, it was for a certain line.

At first, I thought it was asking for passage 2's tone, but as I went back while checking my answers, I noticed that it was really asking for passage 1's.

I was almost certain it said "compared to passage one the tone in passage two is more _____." I said conversational.

T_T Mrrr. Collegeboard plays MINDGAMES.

I bet they engineered the question like that on purpse. :(

I too swear it asked for passage #2's tone...
