Compilation of SAT 1 Math, October 8

<p>Okay.
The 55 page thread was ****ing me off because people asked the SAME QUESTION 45455 TIMES. CAN'T YOU JUST GO BACK ONE PAGE TO SEE IF IT WAS TALKED ABOUT?!?</p>

<p>Okay, so I'm going to spend twenty minutes typing this up:</p>

<p>1) Firetruck - 6 paths
2) Firetruck - 3.5
3) Firetruck - Square (it was a diamond, but that's still a square)
4) Last fill-in (Triangle in rect.) - 70/3 or 23.3
5) 2 Prime #s near 50 (47x53) - 2491
6) Book sales - 1300
7) Video sales - 46,000
8) x+y (it has zs) equals what? - 300
9) |x| and x<0 - 3.5 (I guess it can be 3.01-3.99 too?)
10) Cups/Plates trays - 11
11) 7, 10 Triangle Area - 35
12) Tangent Spheres - 22
13) j,k,n Consecutive Int. (middle # ones digit) - 0
14) 2 similar triangles (base) - 8
15) some Equation - y=120-12x
16) x+ 1/x can equal which (i think it asked for t)- (-2)
17) cylinder and you end up looking for a hypotnuse - square root of 29
18) when is g(x) > f(x) (a line and a hyperbola) - (-3<x<0)
19) Rope question - (1/16)
20) Not symmetrical letter - E
21) Refridgerator Discount comparison - $6
22) Magazine suscription - 108
23) Find slope perpendicular to some given line with slot (-3/2) - (2/3)
24) Circles with an inscribed 80degrees (80/360) - 4
25) 10+x is 5 more than 10; what is 2x - 10
26) x = 20, and y = 30. We were supposed to find Z - 70 (Don't remember this one
27) Votes - 45,000 (I don't remember this one but it was posted a few times - was it experimental or am I losing my mind? :P)</p>

<p>Experimental was the section with a HEXAGON OR SOMETHING? I don't know, I didn't have it. All of these answers were NOT from the experimental (I think) because I recall all of them (except the last two).</p>

<p>Video rentals was 46,000.</p>

<p>Can anyone post the roman numeral questions? Those are the last ones I am concerned about..</p>

<p>Oops, I wrote video sales instead of rentals.
WHATEVER! haha.</p>

<p>Sorry, I don't remember any of the Roman Numerals.
I made this list so people would stop mentioning that damn firetruck! lol</p>

<p>Yeah, good idea.</p>

<p>Haha I wasn't correcting your rental/sales thing...I just didn't see it the first time.</p>

<p>THe roman numerals should help for me cuz so far I've only gotten one wrong..and the roman numerals I am worried if i got right/wrong so i wanna no..</p>

<p>Yeah, I think I got all these answers right.
I, too, want to find out about some other answers. But these were the only questions that were being discussed, SO LET'S TALK ABOUT DIFFERENT QUESTIONS!
Too bad our memory is fading.</p>

<p>i got II only for Roman Numerals question</p>

<p>(what was the 108 question? dont remember)</p>

<p>Something about monthly subscriptions of magazines.
I remember doing 42+58+8...which is 108.</p>

<p>Also, y^2 is (y)(y-1) more than y</p>

<p>what about the one with t ?
the answers were either 1 0 -1 or -2 ....dont remember the problem....but this might be the only one i got wrong yesterday</p>

<p>It's on the list -- t=-2</p>

<p>If you plug in -1 to X+1/X = (-1)+(1/-1)=(-1)+(-1)= (-2)</p>

<p>i must have read the question incorrectly becuase i was sure it was 1 for some reason....and then i heard after the test that it was -2..... good bye 800 ; (</p>

<p>you forgot for one of the problems
the answer was like roman numeral II
the choices were like 1, 2, and 4
p^2 - n^2 < 12 or something</p>

<p>oh ya
one more question
for the video rental one
we just had to multiply the bottom chart by the numbers for store B in the top chart right?</p>

<p>Does anyone remember the one with the line? There were 5 points on the line, they gave you AB, BD, and CE, and wanted you to find the distance from B to C or something like that.</p>

<p>I put E - not enough info, but I doubt the SAT would do something like that.</p>

<p>They do give you enough info. The answer was 8, I believe.</p>

<p>I dont think E was the answer....that one was kinda tricky....but i dont remember what i put exactly</p>

<p>nice job Eddieee....thanks :)</p>

<p>wasnt the answer to the firetruck problem 4....the different combinations to get from F to w/e the other point was</p>

<p>im wrong...its 6....damn...thats 2 wrong</p>

<p>no....people generally had either 5 or 6...however, the answer (unfortunately) is 6</p>
