Complaining too much with teachers?

Alright so today in speech we had a quiz over a chapter reading and we had one question that was legitimately not in the assigned reading. I pointed it out to the teacher afterwards and readily and happily told me that he would not count the point.

I told this to my friend afterwards who is also in my speech class and she says "Hans you complain about everything. I just take my score for what it is." Now, in speech class I've "complained" on one other quiz. I also did discuss with him my first speech hoping to gain some tips for mynext speech and he upped my score on the first speech by two points. The same thing happened when I was discussing my first paper in Comp 2.

So, to what extent should I be "complaining"? Or shoukd i just, as my friend does, take the score for what it is. My biology teacher openly invites to point out any corrections.

Also, another thing to keep in mind, is that I am on full ride to my school, and in order to keep that full ride, I need to keep a GPA above 3.8, so I can't afford to have dumb little points add up.

If you've got something legit, as you seem to in what you've talked about so far, I say go talk to the professor. It's not really complaining, just bringing it to his attention. And he might be giving you points on your speech/paper because you're coming and talking to him to try and get better, which he appreciates.
