<p>so what are my chances at duke and carnigie mellon? ( for engineering)

<p>I know that you cant judge my personality with just stats and few notes over my activities. But, Duke has always been a dream..........</p>
<p>I think the average SAT for a non-athlete at Duke is like a 1450ish...try and raise your SAT a 100 points or something if you want to retake them</p>
<p>there was actually an article about athlete vs. nonathlete SAT scores for Duke students a while back on the Chronicle. I believe it was for the Class of 07. There was at least a 200-300 point discrepancy for most sports - nonathletes were in the lower 1400's, athletes were in the 1100-1200's. One of the sports, cant remember which one, was actually in the upper 1000's for the mens.</p>
<p>Duke's overall 25-75% SAT percentile is on their website for the old one, and its like 1410-1540 for attending students. If you add like 10 points to each, you'll probably have the non-athlete scores. I think like 5% of students at Duke are athletes.</p>
