Alas, I am merely a white male. Is there any chance of the above mentioned schools accepting me, despite my incredibly boring application?

I dunno, but your SAT scores look pretty good for Northwestern, Uchicago, and Penn. Dartmouth and Brown will be hard if you lack a so-called "hook"...its hard to really gauge what are ur true reaches/matches/safeties w/o your ap score and SAT subject tests.

I would really add some safeties. The bar is higher for those at top high schools, we're deemed to have had every advantage. Your SAT scores are below average at most of your schools. That will be hard to make fly.

I don't know if your SAT scores are BELOW average. They're not 800s across the board, but if you look at the medians for those schools, you're comfortably in the range. Find a hook in your life. Like, if you like to go for walks or something, talk about how walking and seeing nature puts things in perspective for you. If you like to cook, talk about the creativity it demands. You know, just take what you think of as mundane about yourself and turn it into something extraordinary on the essay. People with SATs in the 700s can one day take it and shoot a 790 and the next day shoot a 700. Once you're in that range (it's a crap shoot), the college knows you're smart, and they're trying to figure out who you are.

Throw out writing as many schools aren't counting this year and he has a 1440, below average at HYP and Dartmouth and nothing outstanding at the others. Coupled with very average ECs, safeties are needed,

Are you leaning towards math/science or are you leaning towards LA?

The ECs are weak for Dartmouth and Brown, and most likely HYP. Northwestern you could slide by with the ECs if you slam that SAT score higher. Where's your community service? That would help a lot with Penn & U Chicago.

Work on your essay. That and interview will probably be your luck.

I am leaning towards LA. The only colleges I have posted are the ones on my list that are selective...I have safeties, I just haven't listed them

Nobody is boring unless they make themselves look that way. Your character could hook 'em in the essays. Hey, you used the word "alas," that is totally not normal (you could even stretch to 'abnormal' if you really want to be different  )You look perfect for a UC-type school, if you're interested in California at all (did LA mean UCLA? That's dead-on)
