I'm basically aiming for a great electrical engineering school right now. I currently live in Illinois so UIUC is definately a top choice. However, I have no idea what my chances are there.

ACT Composite: 30 ACT Reading: 32 ACT Math: 32 ACT English: 34 SAT I (taken only once without practice mind you :P): 1330 GPA: 3.8 (WEIGHTED) Classes taking now:
AP Statistics
AP Calculus BC
Symphony Orchestra
AP Government / AP Economics
AP Literature and Comp
Psychology / Honors Physics
AP Spanish Activities:
- Volunteering: Animal Shelter
- Work: Waitress / Cashier at same place for 4 years
- Music: Piano and Viola
- Sports: Basketball and Badminton
- Others.. but you get the gist

Okay that's about it. Sorry for the life story but I'm really really a wreck over this..

I've already applied to the following schools:
Purdue University - EE - accepted
Illinois Institute of Technology - EE - accepted
University of Illinois Urbana Champaign - Business - waiting

Because I applied for business for UIUC fearing my chances, was that smart? Could I switch to EE easily or is it a struggle?

Are there and other schools I should be looking at? If so, please give suggestions if you think I even stand a chance! Thanks!

Oh please respond, I really need a reply to the UIUC question. IF I consider accounting to be a mistake, will I be able to switch to eletrical engineering?

There's something about having to do an interview for it or something, I'm still contemplating whether or not to do it because it's a 3-day visit to the campus + a 30-40 minute interview.

You should call U of I admissions and ask them about transferring your application to the school of Engineering. Someone may be able to help you. At the very least, you'll get an introduction to their famous bureaucracy.

You look like a solid candidate, but be warned: Engineering at U of I, like Purdue, is designed to flunk out the less-talented.

[nod] I was really bad, my Math, Reading, and English scores are all above 30. It's just my freaking Science score dragged my composite down, which is hilarious because that is supposed to be the easest section ^^;

I have no idea why it's my worst but probably because it's the very last section.

Yeah I know, I was pretty mad at myself but it's okay since I get to send individual scores too.

I emailed UIUC hoping to switch my application over to engineering but I think it's too late -.-; Their "early action" is Nov 1. and I doubt they'll be there during the weekend. Oh well, I think I'm stuck with business for now..
