Completely Confused..What do I need to be doing?

I am a student, fresh out of high school and I am attending my local community college ,due to bad grades in highschool. However, I have been taking summer classes, and I have been making straight A's, and I plan to attend the same community college in the fall, and I will make good grades again in the fall. (I am taking 12 credit hours now, and I will have another 12 in the fall, if that makes a difference) I would like to attend one of the better colleges in my state ( Like Texas A&M, Baylor, or UTSA). Besides making good grades, and applying when it's time, what can I be doing now to strengthen my application for next fall? And I know colleges like Texas A&M have early application deadlines, can I apply even though all of my credits aren't final? (Meaning I did not finish the fall semester yet, could I still apply for the December deadline?) Would I be considered a transfer, or would it be best to apply for the fall semester as a sophomore? To be completely honest, I'm confused about this whole process, and I really don't know what to do. I just want to be out of community college by my sophomore year of college. Is that possible?
