Other information: I have Generalized Anxiety Disorder and Panic Disorder, and receive special accommodations which I rarely use (not sure how to express that in applications). Does have an effect on my school work, but for the most part I’ve been able to work through it. Freshman year, the year I was diagnosed with Panic Disorder, was especially hard. My main essay dealt with this.

I did see part of the recommendation the teacher wrote for me, and for the kind of experience I had in her class, I thought it was perfect. It basically describes how I went from barely speaking in class (due to the anxiety disorder) and having infrequent periods of depression to actively participating in class discussions and being able to work through those infrequent periods of depression. So, I suppose if it helps me get in, it might have been worth the wait and all the worry it's caused me.

I attended pre-college at Carnegie Mellon University the summer before my junior year.

So, what do you think? I know this is annoying, especially if you've chanced me in the past. But I'm just really nervous right now.

I would imagine with a record like that you would be in, but I'm not positive.

From what I've seen, I'd call you a positive lean

Did you send your SAT score? Even if you did, it shouldn't make a huge difference...you have a good ACT and Mich doesn't rely too heavily on standardized test scores anyway. But overall you're definitely qualified, especially coming from a highly ranked high school in state.

its really weird but i pretty much have exactly the same stats as you and they recieved everything of mine on the 17th as well. i come from a highly ranked school in state too, and i haven't heard anything back either. good luck! i'm sure it will work out! otherwise i don't have much luck either!

oh yeah, and trying to speak from an unbiased point of view (since i have all the same numbers as you), i'd say you are probably in. even without knowing about anxiety and the other things you have dealt with, those are impressive numbers, and they are made even more impressive by the fact that you were dealing with more hardship than most students do. again, good luck, i hope you hear back on wednesday.

@ clover--thanks, and good luck, too!

what school?
i would guess IA, but it doesn't have APs.

i'd say you have a good chance-- a friend of mine just got accepted w/ a 31 ACT and she's OOS.

Solid match...possibly even safe match. Your GPA is not not as high as Michigan likes to it be (for some reason, Michigan really likes 3.8+ GPAs), but you come from a well recognized in-state high school, you have taken a challenging course load and you did well on the ACT.

in state definitely in.
