Completely lost... Need Transfer Help

Alright so I got to college and I defnitely had one idea of where I'm attending now which is the University of Dayton, Ohio, but its completely a different place than I thought it to be. I've always wanted to expand my horizons and now I think is the time to do it. Dayton I've come to find as a very good school academically but as for the social aspect its more or less a huge party school. I have nothing wrong with partying and such but I was hoping for more of an academic campus than it really is. I've lived in the midwest all my life and going to college there is definitely not the thing I want to do anymore. I've seriously contemplated transfering, and my top choice is Northeastern University. I've really looked into the place and I love it. But I've started looking into the entire transfer process and I am completely lost. My main questions are things like:
1. When should I start working on getting all the stuff together (i.e. recommendations because I've only been her a month or two so I don't really know my professors well enough yet I feel)
2. Also things like getting my high school resume, do I just go back and get it or would my current univeristy have it in ways I could reach it?
3. Overall I just need a little help/information about the whole process and whatnot any information would be far better than what I've got now on my own.

Sorry I know this is a lot but this whole situation is just kind of awkward and was just hoping for a little advice. I don't want to do something wrong or too late and ruin my chances.

There are parties everywhere!!!

niemanca - did you read the Transfer Admissions 101 sticky thread? It answers a lot of your qx, I think. Why don't you check that and come back with any qx you still have.

For your high school materials (transcript and profile may be all you need), you would get that through your high school. Contact the GC office (or whoever at your school handled this for freshman admissions) to have them send it to the school(s) where you are applying for transfer.

Yes the Admissions 101 did answer alot thanks Andale but I do still have a few questions that I couldn't seem to find in that thread:

When should I begin sending things to the school(s) I'm thinking of transfering to? And along with that should I send the common app (it is what they told transfers to use) first and then continue to send the recs, high school transcript... etc.

Also I'm confused about rolling admissions for transfer students? Like will they wait until I've sent everything to make the decision, or how does that all work?
