I think you have a pretty good shot, but not a shoe-in. You have good EC’s, but the GPA is pretty low. Great SAT scores, but not spectacular. I think your essays are probably gonna sway them, since you are qualified but not for sure in.

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/616139-chances-please.html

I think that you have a very good chance. Your GPA rise is very impressive - I think that this is more impressive than, say, a 3.7 or 3.8. But that is just my opinion. Your EC are excellent.

Does anyone know exactly how I would go about updating them with an explanation of my low grades/gpa rise? I switched schools and they disregarded all the PRe-ap/honors classes I took.

I think you got a good shot but the Ec’s seem a little scattered (a year here a year there) but colleges look for diversity and Bagpiping is very diverse.

I’m back. Waiting for this month to be over so i can find out.

I dont see you having a problem with your EC’s and if your recs and essays are good you should get in. Also how did you get the pharmaceutical internship? Who was it through? Because I want to go into pharmaceutical research. Your EC’s are great. Good job and keep up the good work.

Please Chance Back

Wait im confused does USC count freshmen year? someone told me they didnt but im not sure…?

Hey, make sure that you definitely explain the trend in the GPA. Apart from that, you seem like a very viable candidate for them and I would not at all be surprised to see you get in! Good luck.
