completely random roommate freshman year

i think i'm just going to trust in cornell. not that they have a lot to work with, considering how not-so-detailed that token survey was.

how hard is it to get a new roommate if you dislike yours? more importantly, can anyone give me a % for how successful random pairings are?

Bump.
Also am curious.

Because college quantifies successful pairings.

Just out of curiosity, how can you dislike someone you’ve never met? :p

^I do that all the time

^How sad…

^I believe OP meant after he/she had spent a couple of weeks with them.

^That only raises the question: how can can you dislike someone you barely know? ;)

These were the 2010-2011 academic year house rules with regard to room changes (I suspect the rules won’t change too much).

colorred: Why the pessimism? Are you just not the social type? Treat them like you want to be treated. Do you want your future roomie to be suspicious of you at this point like you are of him?

this is like asking for a pre-nuptual agreement to be signed at the close of the first date…

And I don’t think they hand out surveys at the end of freshman year asking :"did you dislike your roomie? " And then publishing the tabulated results.
