<p>Sorry, this is kind of a chance-me thread but it really helps.</p>
<p>I'm a sophomore at NYU applying as a Spring 2011 transfer and I'm wondering if I should disclose a hardship (that was entirely not my fault) that messed up my junior year of high school. Other than junior year (and the PSAT) I was able to bounce back pretty well so I was wondering it was even necessary to touch on my serious grade drop.</p>

3.9 GPA NYU CAS
Honors Program straight out of high school</p>

Model UN Officer and Awards
Editor in Newspaper, Yearbook and Lit Mag
Won several state-wide poetry awards</p>
<p>College:
Two volunteer organizations
Championship Debate Team
Won a minor research award
Internship working with several state organizations</p>
<p>SATs are questionable:
780V 680W 580M (abysmal, I know)</p>
<p>I took six APs in high school and got 5's in all but 1. I took tests in humanities, sciences and social sciences</p>
<p>Outstanding Recs</p>
<p>Good Essays (I've been writing professionally on-and-off for three years, and, clearly, this post in particular is not one of my better works).</p>
<p>After all that, is it worth going into why I feel from top 10 percent to top 20 in high school?</p>
<p>Chance me...please?</p>
