Complications a la Princeton

I have my supplemental essay written, which tops the scale at about 520 words. Is this too much over the limit (300 words)? Did anyone ask this question at a recent visit or something? Sigh...its sooo hard to cut down my essay.

Also: how should the summer vacation questions be formatted? Paragraphs, or list? There not looking for writing style in this are they?

Whoops…I meant “they’re” not “there”…

I’d say that 520 is too much for the shorter essay, especially since they ask that the longer essay be around 500 words. Maybe you could use the 520 one as your main one?

I think I saw earlier today that an admissions officer said it was okay if an essay was about 10%-15% over the word limit, but not much more.

try using contractions?

cut cut cut pm the essay if you want

My main essay is actually longer than this one LOL. Thanks for the responses, I’ll keep trying to cut it down… :(
