composite structures

Are there a lot of jobs open for structural engineers focusing on composite structures?

I'm a structural engineer considering a focus on either aerospace or civil structures. I'm still a second year so I'm taking general structural engineering courses, I haven't chosen a focus yet. With a civil focus, i'm pretty confident in finding jobs; but with aerospace, i'm not sure. When I think of civil, i think of everyday concrete buildings and highway bridges. I want to work with more cutting-edge structures, or atleast exciting projects.

I've heard bad things about aerospace, is it still a bad field to get into?

Any input on civil engineering?

I have a similiar question as well, input from anyone? Much appreciate it, thanks.

Yes, civil engineers are hired by aerospace companies to do structural engineering of the airplane or other vehicle.
