Hi everyone! I’m wondering if anyone has any insight on good summer programs for composition. I know Tanglewood and Aspen obviously, but those seem kind of competitive, Aspen especially so. Any ideas would be great! Thanks.
Oh and I forgot to mention, I’ll be a freshman next year in composition at the Blair School of Music @ Vanderbilt.
I’m sure you’ll learn about summer programs through your music department. There’s certain to be a bulletin board with all the notices. Some that come quickly to mind:

Check out Wintergreen Summer Music Academy; Daron Hagen is the faculty chair of the comp program there.
My son liked Brevard, and also enjoyed New Music on the Point.
