Computer and Information Systems Managers

Does anyone have more information on what happens after you get a bachelor's degree for this specific profession? So far I'm thinking major in MIS for bachelors and going straight into an MBA with a Management Information Systems focus. But I'm entirely unsure on whether or not the job market looks great for folks who graduate from a 4-year university. For example, are internships readily available and are job openings looking forward to having new grads?

All I know is that the pay scale and job openings are quite good right now (according to a plethora of websites including bls.gov), but I think that may be for people with experience.

In other words, it's basically like asking if the job opportunities during and after college are similar to Accounting

Thanks

Hmm, well I’m majoring in Accounting Information Systems right now, so that should open up both Accounting and MIS jobs for me

In the old days, you could get business programming or DBA jobs with a CIS degree. Today, a lot of companies are favoring CS majors for these kinds of jobs - I think that is shortsighted because the CIS degree gives you understanding the environment that you will be working in but you can’t argue with what hiring managers do.
