Computer Engineering at MIT?

All I saw on their site was Electrical Engineering and Computer Science? Is this major the same as computer engineering? Sorry, I got confused with the wording.

Umm. know only of EECS(the one you saw)

The Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science offers three undergraduate EECS programs: Electrical Science and Engineering (6-1), Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (6-2), and Computer Science and Engineering (6-3). (Also Computer Science and Molecular Biology, 6-7, but that’s obviously different.)

You can find a description of the 6-3 track here[/url”>6-3: Computer Science and Engineering – MIT EECS]here.

So, just to clarify, EECS is not Computer Engineering, right?

Please read molliebatmit’s post above. EECS encompasses computer engineering.

EECS is the department. The majors are listed above.

Thank you everyone for the advice!

There’s also a math major, 18C, that is Math and Computer science.
